Vail Soccer Club fields an outstanding recreational program. VSC recreational teams are composed of players who wish to play at a purely recreational level. Recreational teams play intra-Club for the U6, U8, and U-10 age groups. For these age groups, the recreational teams are grouped based on area of school attendance. There are no tryouts for recreational teams. Coaches are parent volunteers. The coaches, players and their parents are dedicated to the development of good soccer technique and tactics, good sportsmanship, work, meeting new people and expanding their soccer experience.
Vail Soccer Club recreational teams are formed during the months of July and August, and most practices begin in September. Games begin in mid October and continue until mid-February. ALL games are played at Cienega High School and all efforts are made to make game times consistent on Saturday mornings.
Like any youth organization, Vail Soccer Club relies on parent volunteers to help coach and educate players within the recreational teams. VSC provides training and assistance to the recreational coaches and also provides information regarding further training through AYSA if interested. Coaches determine the practice times and location, but each practice regimen should be roughly 2 days per week for 1 hour.
The cost for the Vail Soccer Club recreational program is $150. That includes all trainings and games that occur throughout the season. It also includes a trophy and a team picture.
Uniforms are included in the registration fee for Vail Soccer Club.
